Day 1

Nairobi/Tsavo East National park

Nairobi/Tsavo East National park

In the morning you will either be picked from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenya International airport and depart for Tsavo East National Park which comprises of open semi arid plains stretching 200 kilometers North of the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. Tsavo East is one of Kenya’s oldest and largest National Parks covering approximately 40 per cent of the total area of all Kenya’s National Parks. You will arrive in time for lunch at campsite and later proceed for game drive where you will have a chance of seeing the vast herds of dust-red elephants, Beisa oryx, zebra, giraffe, lion, cheetah, leopard, gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, among other wild. The thorny shrubs of Tsavo East are also home to the different species of birds which are often found in Northern Kenya which include vulturine guinea fowl, golden breasted starling among others. You will return to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 2

Tsavo East national Park

Breakfast will be served then with picnic lunch you will proceed for a full day game drive where you will have a chance to explore this expansive park with game viewing and a visit to the Aruba dam and the Luggard’s falls named after Lord Frederick Luggard. The falls are renowned for the uniquely shaped water-worn rocks and you can also spot hippos downriver. You will also have a chance to climb the Mudanda rock which offers an excellent vantage point from which to survey the waters of the natural dam that lies at its foot and attracts a large number of wallowing elephants. Later you will return to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 3

Tsavo East National park/Tsavo West National park-Lake Jipe

After breakfast with picnic lunch you will proceed to Lake Jipe which offers a magnificent spot and it is fed by snowmelt from Mount Kilimanjaro and the streams flowing to the South from the Pare Mountains. You will have a chance to explore the shores of the lake which provides sanctuary for a vibrant selection of marsh and water birds that include knob billed geese, pied kingfisher, white backed night heron, black heron palm-nut vulture and African skimmer. You will also have a chance of seeing hippo, crocodile not forgetting the rare Grevy’s zebra and if you are lucky you might see lions. Later you will proceed to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 4

Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast you will have a whole day to explore Tsavo West, which offers diverse scenic views. You will explore the park with chances of seeing elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, leopard, rhino, lesser Kudu among other wild. You will proceed to the campsite for lunch followed by a visit to the mzima springs which is a freshwater oasis and is fed by water that drains from the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Chyulu hills and is the main supply of water to Mombasa and its environs. You will have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles and different species of birds not forgetting fish from the Perspex windows of the underwater observation chamber. Later you will return to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 5

After breakfast continue with your safari passing through the Shetani Lava flow where you will have a stopover en route to Amboseli National park where you will arrive in time for lunch at campsite. Late afternoon proceed for game drive in search of gigantic elephants the park is famous for not forgetting the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear day. You will have a chance to get out of your safari vehicle and walk to the observation hill which offers superb views of the marshy areas and surrounding plains with chances of seeing leopard, cheetah, wild dogs, buffalo, giraffe, Zebra, Lion, flamingo among other wild. You will return to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 6

Coffee/tea will be served then you will proceed for an early morning game drive followed by late breakfast then depart from depart from Amboseli National Park with picnic lunch. You will have an optional visit to maasai cultural village as you leave Amboseli National park passing via the outskirts of Nairobi and continue with your safari passing through agricultural farmlands en route to Mount Kenya region where you will arrive for dinner and overnight at campsite which is located at the foot of Mount Kenya.

After breakfast with picnic lunch you will proceed for Aberdares National park which offers striking mountain scenery with a mix of the alps combined with stretches of dense jungle and amazing waterfalls, with the stunning 300m plunge. You will also have a chance to see buffaloes, elephants, hyenas and the rare bongo antelope. Later you will return to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 8

Mount Kenya/Samburu

After breakfast continue with your safari to Nanyuki where you will have a stopover at the equator for photo and demonstration on how water spins North and South of the equator. Later you will proceed to Isiolo then an unforgettable journey into Samburu Game Reserve – a haven of beauty and peace in semi-arid land, rugged landscape and majestic surroundings. Lunch will be served at campsite then proceed for game drive where you will have a chance to see Grevy zebra, Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali Ostrich, long-necked gerenuk, and dainty dik dik, as well as some of the most beautiful bird life in Kenya. You’ll also see herds of elephant, plains game and their predators. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Coffee/Tea will be served then depart for an early morning game drive with chances of seeing leopard, Grevy’s Zebra, gerenuk, oryx among other wild before returning to campsite for late breakfast. You will either relax or optional visit to Samburu cultural village and optional camel ride then lunch will be served. Late afternoon proceed for another game drive before returning to campsite to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 10

Samburu Game Reserve/Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast leave Samburu for Isiolo and continue with your safari to Nyahururu where you will have a stop-over at the Thomson falls to explore the scenic beauty of the falls then continue with your safari to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch at campsite. Later you will proceed for game drive where you will have a chance to see flamingos on the shores of Lake Nakuru if you are lucky. You will also have a chance of seeing rhino, giraffe, buffalo, zebra among other species. Return to campsite for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru national Park/Lake Bogoria-Lake Baringo

After breakfast you will depart from Lake nakuru with picnic lunch and continue with your safari to Lake Bogoria where you will have a chance of seeing Gazelle, Zebra, Baboons and Greater Kudu. Later you will enjoy a walk on the shores of Lake Bogoria with chances of seeing natural hot geyser’s and flamingos among different species of birds. Later you will proceed to lake Baringo which is a fresh water lake and it lies off the beaten track in a hot and dusty setting with over 470 species of birds which makes it a birding hotspot. It is also richly endowed with scenic views and Lake Baringo is home to three major communities namely Tugen, Ilchamus and Pokot who practise fishing, livestock keeping and farming. You will arrive in time for dinner and overnight at campsite.

In the morning you will proceed to Lake Baringo for two hour’s boat ride giving you a chance to explore the lake which is inhabited by hippos, crocodiles and you will have a chance of seeing different species of birds followed by breakfast then later you will have a chance to explore the area on foot followed by early lunch then depart for lake Naivasha where you will arrive for dinner and overnight at campsite.

After breakfast you will depart for Hell’s gate Park which lies south of Lake Naivasha where you will have a chance to explore the park either on foot or cycle among giraffe, Zebra, gazelles and different species of birds followed by a guided walk through the gorge before you return to campsite for lunch. Afternoon will be spent at leisure as you recover from the walk and enjoy the surrounding area with optional horse ride as you wait for dinner followed by overnight at campsite.

You will arrive in Nairobi late afternoon where you will be dropped off for your onward journey connections.
